How to Make a Crop Circle

How to Make a Crop Circle - WikiHow

Another reason to love the internet. You want to know how to do something, just search for it and there is bound to be a blog or a wiki with more detail than you could ever want.

wikiHow is a collaborative writing project to build the world's largest how-to manual and although a little sparse now it looks like a promising collection. Ideally we would not have a plethora of unrelated portals, wikis, blogs and other data sources linked only by Google searches. Wouldn't it be nice if wikiHow was just a virtual view onto How To data across the whole internet?

10 ways you know you are getting old

O'Reilly Radar > Want to get good at videogames? Hire a kid

OK, I only have the one for today but it is something I have covered before and is going to be a key differentiator between this generation and the next. If you think relationships and interactions are always better in person and that some things just cannot be done remotely, then you are likely not in the younger the two generations. However hard it is for us to imagine there is a new generation that doesn't see the need for any distinction between virtual and physical.

BBC Radiophonic Workshop

Music thing: Wonderful archive of BBC Radiophonic Workshop photos

Brought a smile to my face. Growing up the Radiophonic workshop was a huge influence on my musical education, tastes and direction. From the overly scary soundtracks to kids educational TV to the classic stuff of Dr Who. Made me all nostalgic as I remembered composing pieces by splicing tape. So much easier now with modern computers and synths.

Let There Be Light

Divxstation - Ambilight for BSplayer

Interesting project to build an Ambilight like system. Down side is it needs the playback to be happening on a PC, but with a decent media pc this is not a real problem.
